Our Pastor, Dr. Rex McPherson, has been preaching and pastoring for over 30 years. He is a native of Cherokee County here in Georgia. He and Jessica have been married for 35 years and have one daughter and two grandchildren. Dr. McPherson has worked as a church planter, foreign missionary and General Director of The Gospel Preacher Association. Dr. McPherson is a Gospel Preacher in the truest sense. The Galilean Choir

Under the direction of Cindy Forrest, the Galilean Baptist Church Choir will stir your heart. The choir is made up of people who love the Lord and have a desire to praise and honor Him. Senior’s Ministry

"Ages 50 and older"

The OWLS is what we call our seniors’ group. It is an acronym for Older, Wiser, Loving, Serving. As an important part of the work of Galilean, our seniors are greatly appreciated for their wisdom, knowledge and active participation in the work of the ministry.

Our meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30 AM. There is always a good meal, sweet singing, a 15 minute sermon from one of our several fine preachers, and of course, lots of encouraging fellowship. One of the favorite parts for many is what we call the "Senior Funnies." This short time of good clean jokes and unusual stories often has everyone in stitches. Prov. 17:22, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine." On occasion we take trips to various places for a fun day out.

Children’s Ministries

On Sundays at 11:00 AM we offer worship services for your children that will help them to know and love Jesus Christ. Little church is for our 3 and 4 year olds. Kinder church for ages 5 through kindergarten. Junior church for all elementary age children, and teen church for junior and senior high school students. Of course, young people of all ages are welcome in the main service.

Bus & Van Ministry

This outreach arm of our church reaches into our community to bring men and women, boys and girls to church who otherwise might not get to come. The members of the Bus Ministry visit the community weekly and provide not only transportation, but a real support ministry for children and adults alike.

Sunday School

At Galilean no one ever graduates from Sunday School. Galilean is a church founded and grounded on the Word of God.  All of our curriculum is Bible based with an emphasis placed on the importance of studying the Bible and knowing what we believe. Galilean has classes for all ages from the nursery through senior adults.

A nursery is provided during all our services.
